Not until she met her husband, Lun, son of founder. Chensy did not pay much attention to her lifestyle and had caused her serious health problems. Gratefully, the Organic Lifestyle saved her.
The Organic Lifestyle was new to her and hard to adapt but slowly she felt that her health got improved and she knew that Organic Lifestyle is the way to go.
Joining the team, now she is the General Manager in Titi Eco Farm and is also one of the workshop facilitator. She shares her story and hope that could inspire more people to put in more effort in taking care of their health.
“My body has taught me a lot when I was very weak. Without the “message” that my body gave me, I wouldn’t understand much about the wisdom from Nature and the words from elderly.” Chensy says.
Without the support of the family, the story of Titi Eco Farm is never so interesting when recalled back in memories. Their contributions are very much meaningful along the journey of running Titi Eco Farm; truely a family-run Organic Farm.
When talk about Titi Eco Farm, besides Mr Lim, people will mentioned about Mdm They Chan. Secondly, is Mdm Elaine They. Three of them were the “Superman & Super-women” during the beginning till late 2010s.
The wife, Mdm They Chan not only in charge the finance of the business, she is also guiding the visitors to the farm, educating them about the fun-fact in Organic Farm and the knowledge of food source. When she brings visitors to the farm tour, she has lots story to tell. Kids always had fun.
The sister-in-law, Mdm Elaine They is also well-known by her “Organic” raw diet. when people visit to Titi Eco Farm, they are served with the signature Ulam Salad Roll made with passion fruit pickled raw papaya and all kind of local herbs, this salad was created by Elaine They; also the unforgettable Hibiscus Flower breakfast. People always inspired by her “Organic” practices especially her way of cooking, never thought that turn out so delicious.
Two more key-person that must mention is Mr They Soon Kiat and Mr Te Son Tuan, the brother in-law. Both of them stay in the farm. Mr They Soon Kiat is taking care all kind of management in Titi Eco Farm. From managing the foreign workers to in charge of repair and maintain. Where Mr Te Son Tuan is the Carpenter of Titi Eco Farm. Every piece of wood craft in the farmland is his creation; all are handcrafted including the cement typo block that installed at the entrance of Titi Eco Farm.
Lun didn’t frequently went to his father’s Organic Farm until he joined his father in 2010. From a city boy to a nature boy, Lun found his true self and continued his father’s vision to run Titi Eco Farm.
Grew up and raised in the city, like many others, Lun was definitely a 100% city boy, and had more connection with computer games, gadgets and technologies than the nature.
After 5 years working in local Design & Animation industry, Lun felt lost and tired in never ending rushing deadlines and countless stay up night. In return of all accomplishment in the industry, he already had mild health problem in his late 20s due to very bad lifestyle.
He thought of a change but didn’t know where to start. Mr Lim, his father given him a chance to try and help out the business while Lun thinking of his next step. It was not an easy job for Lun and he had to start fresh and start low. Slowly picking up skills he had never taught, Lun started to understand the philosophy of his father’s work, and found joy in nature like his father did.
In 1996, Mr Lim fall in love with a piece of clean land at Titi, from an engineer, he switched his career and started his new venture in organic farming. Hence, Titi Eco Farm was built and established in 1997.
As a strong proponent of organic food, Mr Lim advocates healthy lifestyle over the last 20 years. He eats, lives and talks organic. He loves to share his experiences in wellness journey, and getting more people go organic!
Grown up in a farmer family, Mr Lim lived close to nature and developed strong connection with nature since young. He started his career as an engineer in his 20s. However due to busy work life over the years, he suffered from health problem at the peak of his career. In his middle age, he realized the importance of adopting healthier lifestyle through balance diet, regular exercise, and maintains a happy state of mind.
Opportunity in going organic sparked when he attended a health talk by Dr. Lai Jiu- nan, the founder of Lapis Lazuli Light. Inspired by her sharing on “Body, Mind & Soul”, Mr Lim wanted to go back to the farmland in a way that would not harm the natural beauty of the earth and live a more sustainable life.
Mr Lim’s biggest wish is having more conventional farm business turning towards organic farming and production. As the proverb says, “Build more organic farm, eventually reduce the need of hospital”.
